No, I have not.

Anonymous asked: What's your personal experience with nose strips? And how many times do you recommend I use them to unclog my pores on my nose? I just got a great deal on sasa for the biore strips ^_^

I used nose strips in high school. However, I like to use nose packs/masks now. Some of my favorites are: Dr. Brandt’s pores no more vacuum cleaner, the face shop nose mask blackhead clay nose pack, and daiso’s nose pack.

Anonymous asked: Hey :) Right now I'm wearing Oxy Pure White and my target is to get less oily face and WHITER skin .. But I think it would be so WEIRD if my face is white but my whole body is kinda black (tanned skin) .. Do u've any idea how to maintain my skin colour ? I mean how to get white for whole body and not only the face ? :)

Perhaps, try not to tan your body? Wear long sleeves and hats? :)

matthewrichvrd asked: When would you use a mask? Would you cleanse, tone then mask? Or Cleanse, mask then tone?

If it is a sheet mask, I use it after cleansing and exfoliation and before toning.

matthewrichvrd asked: Where's the best and most reliable place to buy Asian skin care products online for the US? :)

I used to shop from However, I’m not too fond of their customer service. I am not sure what the best sites are. I heard good things about bonjourhk. Also, there is beautykat, imomoko, artsy, etc…

Anonymous asked: Hi, My skin tends towards acne and blackheads, I have oil skin. What can you recommend to me? :)

Hi, I recommend to use a very light moisturizer with SPF. I noticed that for me, my skin gets oily n over reproduces oil when it is in need of moisture.

Anonymous asked: Hi! Would you recommend any sleeping pack for sensitive, dry skin with a tendency to acne? Preferably something that can be delivered to Europe :)

I really liked Laneige’s sleeping pack. It’s the best one over the years. They were also one of the first brands to adopt the concept.

eatmesoul asked: Would you recommend any cleansing wipes because at times I wake up late and don't have enough time to wash my face in the morning .__.

I don’t really recommend cleansing wipes because there is still residue left over from the wipe. Most people have skin that works fine with rinsing wipes. As for me, I have sensitive acne prone skin and I break out when I use cleansing wipes. It’s best to just wash our face with a basic cleaner :) it only takes a minute!

My Experience with Using Retin-A Cream

Dear Readers,

I haven’t been blogging much lately because I haven’t tried many new products. Since the past few months, I have been breaking out with small whiteheads and stubborn mini painful cysts. (It is mostly due to stress or hormones.) I visited my derm and he prescribed Retin-A for me. I have always used Benzoyl Peroxide to control my breakouts, as I have super acne-prone skin. My derm told me that it would take at least 1-2 months to entirely clear up my skin.

However, I noticed instant results even within the first week. My breakouts healed faster with using Retin-A. I use a tiny pea-sized amount to spot treat my breakouts 1-2 times daily. The only downside of using this was that during the first week of usage, my skin was peeling and irritated. However, with continued use, my skin got used to the treatment, healed and cleared up my skin. I even apply this cream to the two mini fine lines on my forehead. It helps to smooth out wrinkles and minimize pores. I also wear sunscreen daily because my skin is more sensitive to sun light after using Retin-A.

Retin-A cream is basically made with .05% Tretinoin, a type of retinoid, a Vitamin A derivative. Retin-A is prescribed by dermatologists for treatment of acne, stretch marks, wrinkles, and other skin conditions.

There are also non-prescription products available at major department stores and drugstores that contain Retinol. Retinols can be used the same way, but it takes longer for the ingredient to show effects.

Also, do check out There are great tips on how to clear up skin with Benzoyl peroxide.

Even if you might be breaking out, don’t forget to smile! Don’t forget about your life, friends, and family. I know periods of having constant breakouts can be quite depressing. However, with time and a bit of effort, you can clear up your skin! Also, don’t forget to drink a lot of water, and add more colorful fruits and veggies to your diet. Even if you don’t have time, exercise when you can. Choose the stairs over the elevator.

:) I will start blogging regularly again! Will share new products with you soon.
